Thank You, Universe!
Near the middle of January, I went on a witchcraft spree. I reset my altar (A bit late for the new year, but you do what you can when you can), creates some personal spell jars and did some intention setting.
Practicality and Belief
It is hard to be a skeptical person and a pagan. It is hard to find that sweet spot between knowing science and wanting to believe in the magical.
On My Craft
I started onto the pagan path when I was 19. At that time, there was a huge new age/pagan resurgence, as it was the late 80’s – early 90’s. While not on par with the historic neopagan revival in the 60’s, and the unrivaled movement in the early 1900’s, it was still significant.
A matter of concern
I read a post in one of my pagan groups this morning that made me worried for the poster on several levels.
Singular day
Today is my only full day off this week from work. I’m not really upset about that as it helped make up for hours lost last week due to snow and ice.
Why so serious?
A while back ago, there was some weird dust up in the online pagan and wiccan communities regarding people who were trying to “hex the fae and /or moon”. They were all upset that “baby witches” were making the gods and fae angry with their antics and then worst of things was going to happen. You know…given the year 2020 was, and they did this in July, who knows. I don’t guess anymore.
Imbolc
Today is one of those pagan holidays I have never participated in, so I really had no idea how to celebrate it, other than acknowledging the turning of the year from the cold winter to the warm spring.
Love and light vs hate and dark
I decided to start the journey to reconnect with my pagan spirit a while back ago. Over 6 months, really, when I decided to get back into tarot, intention and general creative visualization. Since these all go hand in hand for me, it made sense.
Everyday stuff
So this post is a bit of rambling about me for a bit.
