Admission
I am going to admit something:
I have been disingenuous.
LoA Realities
Listening to LoA podcasts, then to anti-cult podcasts because there’s a lot of crossover, particularly with the large group awareness training cults because so many of them fall into the LoA teachings, distorting them to make themselves wealthy and/or powerful while abusing people to keep them in and constantly paying.
Conscientious objector
Back when Hobby Lobby won its bullshit case in the Supreme Court, I read an article written by a Jewish journalist who discussed the main issue with the case Hobby Lobby brought to the court. They claimed to be a “conscientious objector” and, therefore, wanted the law to change to fit their beliefs.
People aren’t strong because they want to be
I am currently listening to a podcast called “A Little Bit Culty” because honestly, I love hearing about cults. Cult things to me are like true crime to others. I can’t get enough. I’m constantly fascinated by them and have been for as long as I can remember.
Generational Disappointment
On my pathway to and from work, I drive past an old brick home. It has been empty for as long as I have lived in the area, which, while not that long, has been almost 10 years. A few years back, the home had been cleared out of all items and the windows removed. It looked like some long needed renovations were going to start taking place.
The Importance of Integrity
The problem when you discover someone lacks, or something has been cobbled together with no integrity is that you never get the ability to fully trust again.
