I mentioned in a previous post how I’m not really good with the whole daily gratitude thing. I have truly struggled with this concept since I first heard of it, and it’s a habit that I really just can’t get into.
Yesterday, I decided to download the audiobook of “The Magic” to listen to while at work because of a podcast that I listen to daily, where the hostess constantly praises this book. I have tried in the past to read “The Secret”, but I’m really not into the whole Christian Prosperity movement and couldn’t get behind the concept of using Jesus and God as a Santa Clause (funny aside, I originally wrote “Satan Clause”) and that stopped that noise fairly quickly.
I listened to “The Magic” today. I decided to listen to it before undertaking it to see if it was something that I would eventually feel stupid for doing and not finish it, and also so that there would be no surprises. I like to know what I’m potentially signing up for before I fully sign on.
I know that we come onto things when we need them, and I accept that, but wow. That is something I could have used ages ago! It made the gratitude practice make so much more sense! Made it not just a task but a practice with a purpose. It also gave a variety of things that you can do to increase the gratitude in your life every day in easy ways.
So, I’m going to prep myself for undertaking the 28 days of Gratitude and see how it works. I have been wanting to *do* something regarding manifesting but have been stopping myself, as I don’t feel like I fully understand the process well enough to embark on it. I have queued up a Certification Coach program for Law of Attraction that I plan to do over the weekend this weekend. I wish I could download the tracks to listen to while at work because that would be so beneficial, but I’ll spend the weekend crocheting and listening to the program, learning more.
My intention is to create a manifestation podcast where myself and the listeners do the steps to manifest. I listen to a lot of podcasts that talk about manifesting and the law of attraction, but then, only give the same 5 or 6 stories of how it worked in their life and not a whole lot on the workings. They aren’t even coaches. They just give a few nuggets of how they work but mostly the results. Which is great, but not really as helpful as those who are looking to actually do. It’s inspirational but not perspirational.
I need a change in my life. The Universe keeps spitting out signs, and I’m seeing them. I’m thinking the Universe for watching out for me and having my back. I’m letting the Universe know I’m here for it and for the endless support it has for me. I can’t think of when I had this strong of a feeling in my past, even during my “Your Heart’s Desire” days. (Another book I strongly recommend written by Sonia Choquette. A great book! She’s gotten a bit too deep into the woo for my tastes as currently, but this book is a real gem.)
So I’m making my list of things I want to manifest, get a journal together that I’m ready to ruin with my work (horrible handwriting which also stops the process), and diving in as soon as I feel prepared or Monday comes, whichever is first. Maybe I’ll record my process for the podcast to start and see what happens…Hmm….
